In a week of major crusts and troughs, the Nifty closed with gains of 373.05 points in the 6 trading sessions from budget day, closing just short of 25,700 at 25,693.70.
The Nifty Bank index, after giving up the crucial mark multiple times, eventually closed just above the 60,000 mark on Friday.
After a streak of major events and subsequent cues for the markets, we are arguably entering a relatively sedate period as the Q3 earnings season will also mark its last lap, the last week in this set of sessions.
Results continue to come, and as we move towards the end of the earnings season, some names that will be in focus include Tata Motors, Bharat Forge, Aurobindo Pharma, IDBI Bank and more
