The Indian markets are on a volatile path, as the indices are trading on a nervous note. The Nifty is trading around the 24,300 mark, with swings within a 30-point range. The Sensex is also under pressure, down about 100 points and is below the 77,900 mark.

The Nifty is now at the upper end of the ongoing trading range of 23,800 to 24,300. The index is heading towards its next hurdle zone of 24,500. Experts believe that a decisive move above 24,500 could even take the index towards the 24,800 mark. Today is also the Sensex weekly expiry.

While no Nifty names report today, major broader market names like Pidilite, Biocon, Bharat Forge, Dabur, Escorts Kubota, MRF, Sonata Software, and Thermax report numbers today.
