Dow Jones Today | US Stock Market LIVE Updates: US stock futures surged on Wednesday (March 8) after President Donald Trump announced a two-week pause on planned attacks in Iran, temporarily halting a five-week conflict that had disrupted a key global energy route and pressured equity markets.
By 7:29 a.m. ET, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures climbed 1,315 points, or 2.8%. S&P 500 futures advanced 2.9%, while Nasdaq 100 futures jumped 3.5%. Crude oil prices fell sharply in response. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures dropped over 16% to $94.41 a barrel, while international benchmark Brent for June delivery slid more than 14% to $93.67 a barrel.
