Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are under pressure, with the Nifty falling towards the 24,300 mark after falling over 100 points. The Sensex is down over 200 points, falling to the 77,800 mark. For the Nifty, though, it was a 200-plus-point range after a while in a single session, and Wednesday's low of 24,265 will be key to defend on the downside.

Having underperformed for the better part of the last two weeks, the Nifty Bank finally stepped up in mid-week trading, closing near 58,000.

24,500 remains that one level to conquer on the upside. Crossing and sustaining above 58,000 will be positive for the banking bulls, and they would hope the PSU banking pack outperforms again as it did on Wednesday.
