Titan Company has appointed Sandhya Venugopal Sharma, an IAS cadre, as chairperson and additional director on its board, representing the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), the company informed exchanges on December 30. The appointment will take effect from January 4, 2026, following approval through a board circular resolution passed on December 29, 2025.
Sharma will succeed Arun Roy, IAS, as chairperson of the board. Roy will, however, continue to serve as a director
on Titan’s board. The appointment has been made pursuant to a nomination received from TIDCO, which is a co-promoter of Titan Company.

According to the disclosure, Sharma will hold office as a non-executive, non-independent director and will be liable to retire by rotation. The company said shareholder approval for her appointment will be sought within the timelines prescribed under the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements through a postal ballot.
A 1995-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Sharma brings wide administrative experience across industrial development, finance, education and governance. Prior to her current role at TIDCO, she was on central deputation with the Department of Space, serving as joint secretary and later additional secretary in Bengaluru between April 2019 and October 2025.
Titan also clarified that Sharma is not related to any director, key managerial personnel or promoters of the company, and is not barred by any regulatory authority from holding the position of director.
On the stock market, shares of Titan Company Limited were trading at ₹3,973.00 as of December 30, 4pm.
