Unichem Laboratories Ltd on Thursday (February 5) reported a net profit of ₹264.3 crore for the third quarter, compared with ₹58 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue for the quarter declined 2.2% year-on-year to ₹521.2 crore, against ₹533 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹45 crore, down 47.4% from ₹85.4 crore reported in the same quarter last year. EBITDA margin came in at 8.6% for the quarter, compared with 16% in the year-ago period.
Also, the board has approved the appointment of Dr Swati Patankar as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a term of five consecutive years with effect from February 5, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.

Dr Patankar will serve as an Independent Director from February 5, 2026, to February 4, 2031. She has more than 35 years of experience. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Tufts University, Boston, USA.
Dr Patankar is a Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at IIT Bombay. She has served as Dean (International Relations) and as a member of the Board of Governors at IIT Bombay, gaining administrative experience across multiple domains.
Shares of Unichem Laboratories Ltd ended at ₹423.00, up by ₹5.35, or 1.28%, on the BSE.
