Ceigall India shares gain after NHAI issues provisional certificate for ₹613 crore project

Shares of Ceigall India Ltd moved higher on Friday after the company said its subsidiary, Ceigall Bathinda Dabwali Highways Private Limited, has received a provisional certificate from the National Highways Authority of India for a highway project in Punjab.

In a regulatory filing, the company said the provisional certificate has been issued for the six-laning of the Jodhpur Romana (Bathinda)–Mandi Dabwali section of National Highway-54, executed on a hybrid annuity mode basis.

The project, with a

bid cost of ₹613.11 crore, has been declared fit for entry into commercial operations with effect from December 22, 2025.

The 27.40-kilometre stretch was awarded by NHAI, with the appointed date recorded as August 11, 2023. Ceigall India said the project does not fall under related party transactions.

Separately, earlier this week, the infrastructure construction company announced that it had emerged as the lowest bidder for a new contract worth around ₹550 crore from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. The project involves setting up 130 MW (AC) of grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plants under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme–PM KUSUM-C.

As of 3:19 pm on Friday, shares of Ceigall India Ltd were trading 3.49% higher at ₹260.25 on the National Stock Exchange, after hitting an intraday high of ₹262.00.
