Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd reported a weaker operating performance for the December quarter, with revenue, profitability and margins declining year-on-year, weighed down by lower operating income and margin compression.
For Q3FY26, the company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹190.4 crore, down 3.55% from ₹197.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations declined 3.3% year-on-year to ₹1,276 crore, compared with ₹1,319 crore in Q3FY25.
Operating performance softened during the quarter, with EBITDA falling 15.7% YoY to ₹310.8 crore from ₹368.7 crore a year earlier. As a result, EBITDA margin contracted sharply to 24.36% from 27.95% in the same period last year.

On a standalone basis, net profit after tax stood at ₹163.1 crore in Q3FY26, compared with ₹189.2 crore a year ago, while revenue from operations declined to ₹917.6 crore from ₹1,046.6 crore. Profit before tax fell to ₹221.2 crore from ₹231.3 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company's revenue from the steel business stood at ₹449 crore, while the power segment generated a revenue of ₹420.2 crore.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, the company reported consolidated net profit of ₹947.9 crore, compared with ₹591.5 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue rose to ₹4,436.9 crore from ₹3,404 crore a year earlier.

However, the company cautioned that the figures are not strictly comparable due to the acquisition and amalgamation of SKS Power Generation (Chhattisgarh) Limited in September 2024.

Shares of Sarda Energy closed marginally higher at ₹530 on Friday, ahead of the Q3 results announcement. The stock has gained 13.67% in the past year.
