NACL Industries Q1 profit jumps 60%; board approves Nasense Labs stake sale

Muruguppa Group-backed agrochemical firm NACL Industries Ltd reported a 59.8% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit after tax to ₹20.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹13.04 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue from operations, however, declined 14.5% to ₹383.33 crore from ₹448.36 crore a year earlier. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) increased 19.9% to ₹39.72 crore from ₹33.14 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 10.36% from 7.47%.

Total expenses fell 17.6% year on year to ₹356.89 crore from ₹431.45 crore.

Sequential performance

On a sequential basis, NACL Industries returned to profitability after reporting a loss in the March quarter. Consolidated net profit after tax came in at ₹20.84 crore, compared with a net loss of ₹0.86 crore in the preceding quarter.

Revenue from operations rose 6.2% quarter on quarter to ₹383.33 crore from ₹360.95 crore. Total expenses eased 1.9% sequentially to ₹356.89 crore from ₹363.75 crore, aiding the recovery in profitability.

Separately, the company's Board approved the sale of its entire investment in Nasense Labs Private Limited for ₹8.15 crore. The buyer is Kanumuru Satyanarayana Raju, and the transaction is expected to be completed within the next three months, subject to the terms of the share purchase agreement. Once the deal is completed, Nasense Labs will no longer be an associate company of NACL Industries.

Following the results, shares of NACL Industries were trading 3.56% lower at ₹204 on the National Stock Exchange.
