  The Nifty is up over 30 points, trading around 26,100 as the Indian markets remain and trade on a cautious note. Volumes are expected to dwindle further as the year draws to a close. The Sensex is also trading on a similar note, and is trading with an uptick of close to 70 points, above the 85,100 mark.

As for the Nifty, on the upside, 26,200 - 26,300 remains a barrier for the index, and despite crossing those levels twice last week, the index could not sustain above that.

The Nifty Bank index is under pressure, compared to the other indices, as the index fell over 150 points from the day's high to turn red.

In addition, Silver prices have made new highs this morning, keeping Hindustan Zinc in focus. Also watch for names like Ventive Hospitality, Sigachi Industries, and Viceroy Hotels, along with railway stocks.
