ITDC Q2 Results: Net profit slides 31%, revenue down 18.6%; future focus on digital solutions

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), on Tuesday, November 11, reported a 30.87% year-on-year decrease in net profit at ₹16.35 crore in the second quarter of FY26, down from ₹23.65 crore a year ago.

The company reported ₹118.49 crore in revenue from operations, down 18.6% YoY but up 35% on a sequential basis. Revenue in Q2FY25 stood at ₹

145.63 crore while the June quarter reported ₹87.75 crore.

ITDC is a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism.

What are ITDC's future focus areas?

Moving ahead, ITDC is placing greater emphasis on digital transformation, sustainability, and customer engagement. It is also preparing to launch an advanced version of its Ashok Travels & Tours (ATT) online portal, designed to offer improved accessibility and convenience to travellers. The platform will strengthen ITDC’s digital presence and enhance service delivery across travel and tour segments.

Established in 1966, ITDC has played a key role in shaping India’s tourism infrastructure. Beyond its portfolio of iconic hotels, it operates across hospitality education, tours and travel, event management, duty-free shopping, and sound-and-light shows — offering integrated tourism and hospitality solutions under one umbrella.

In addition to digital investments, ITDC is also focusing on research, development, and new product innovation to diversify revenue sources. The corporation continues to promote initiatives such as Swachhta Pakhwada, Vigilance Awareness Week, and other compliance programmes that reinforce a culture of transparency, accountability, and service excellence.

By prioritising smarter resource utilisation across its hotels, event management services, duty-free operations, and travel divisions, ITDC aims to boost productivity and drive sustainable growth in the coming years.

Shares of ITDC ended ₹599 apiece on the NSE on Wednesday, November 12, ₹2.61% above the day's opening.
