Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates:   It is post-noon at Dalal Street, and even in the second half of the day's trade on this Thursday Sensex expiry session, the markets continue to hold ground and maintain the strong gains.

The markets are surging on rocket fuel, with the Nifty index soaring over 400 points, jumping to the 24,400 mark. The Sensex is up over 1,300 points, rising to the 78,700 mark.

The Nifty has jumped over 2,000 points in the past 6 session. For the Nifty, crossing 24,000 would mean opening the doors to 24,250 - 24,300 levels, while the supports could now shift higher to the 23,800 mark. The recovery seen in the broader markets will also please them as while the index struggled for momentum for a better part of Wednesday, the midcaps and small-cap indices were at the day's high.

For the Nifty Bank, the 56,000 level holds key and crossing that could trigger a further upmove towards the 56,500 level on the upside, while 55,500 - 55,300 zone could act as a support cluster. Watch for oil sensitives, BSE, Lenskart, IT stocks, and plenty of other result reactions today.
