In October, cargo volumes stood at 40.2 million metric tonne.
Container volumes rose 20% during the month under review, while dry cargo volumes were up 10% from the previous year, Adani Ports said in an exchange filing.
Adani Ports handled 325.4 MMT of cargo this year till November, registering an 11% rise from the previous year. The growth was supported by a 21% increase in container volumes and a 5% increase in dry cargo volumes.
In the logistics segment, rail volumes in November stood at 51,042 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), declining 5% from the previous year. Meanwhile the general purpose wagon investment scheme (GPWIS) volumes came in at 1.7 MMT, down 4% from last year. On a year-to-date basis, rail volumes rose 13% to 469,835 TEUs, and GPWIS volumes inched up 1% to 14.3 MMT, the company informed the stock exchanges.
In the September quarter, the company reported a 27.2% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹3,109 crore, up from ₹2,445 crore in the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 29.7% to ₹9,167.5 crore, compared to ₹7,067 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding financial year.
Cargo volumes grew 12% YoY to 124 million metric tonnes (MMT), rising from 111 MMT in the year-ago period.
Adani Ports reiterated its FY26 outlook, forecasting port cargo volumes of 505–515 MMT, up from 450 MMT in FY25.
It projected FY26 revenue at ₹36,000–38,000 crore and EBITDA at ₹21,000–22,000 crore, alongside a planned capex of ₹11,000-12,000 crore. The company also retained its net debt-to-EBITDA threshold of up to 2.5x.
Shares of Adani Ports were trading 0.16% lower at ₹1,526.8 on the BSE around 9.25 am.
