Firstsource posts steady Q2 growth, bets on Lyzr.ai to drive AI-led transformation

Firstsource Solutions Ltd reported a 6% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) rise in consolidated net profit to ₹179 crore, compared to ₹169 crore in the previous quarter.

Revenue increased 4.3% QoQ to ₹2,315 crore,

while EBIT grew 6.4% to ₹266 crore. Operating margin improved slightly to 11.5% from 11.2% in Q1.

The company’s total headcount stood at 35,997 employees, with a net addition of 1,502 during the quarter and 3,099 on a year-on-year basis.

In a key strategic move, Firstsource also announced an investment in Lyzr.ai, a cutting-edge enterprise AI agent infrastructure platform that enables organisations to build secure, reliable, and interconnected AI agents anchored by robust knowledge bases, orchestration, and responsible AI governance.

The company said the investment aligns with its UnBPO™ vision – a transformative model that reimagines traditional outsourcing by integrating human intelligence with responsible, enterprise-grade AI to drive adaptive and purpose-driven organisations.

Shares of Firstsource Solutions Ltd ended lower on Tuesday, November 4, by 0.38% at ₹353.00 on the NSE.
