Sugar firm Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd on Tuesday (August 11) reported a 14.5% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹44.1 crore for the quarter, compared with ₹51.6 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue increased 6% year-on-year to ₹1,636.8 crore, from ₹1,542.3 crore in the year-ago period.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined 15% to ₹114 crore, compared with ₹134.3 crore a year ago. The company’s EBITDA margin stood at 6.96%, down from 8.71% in the corresponding period last year.

Separately, Balrampur Chini Mills announced the appointment of Vartika Shukla as an Additional Director in the category of Non-Executive Independent Director, subject to shareholder approval.
Shukla has been appointed for a term of five consecutive years, effective from August 11, 2026, to August 10, 2031. The appointment was made based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
According to the company, Shukla has over 38 years of experience in engineering consultancy, project management, business strategy and energy sector transformation.
She has expertise in mega project implementation, business diversification and sustainability initiatives, including strategic mega project implementation from concept to commissioning. Shukla has spent 38 years of her career with Engineers India Limited (EIL), under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd ended at ₹630.25, down by ₹24.10, or 3.68%, on the BSE.
