Shares of Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts Ltd. rose about 5% after the company reported a strong set of earnings for the June quarter, with consolidated net profit rising more than five-fold to ₹48.8 crore from ₹8.8 crore a year earlier, supported by healthy revenue growth and improved operating margins.
Revenue from operations increased 28.1% year-on-year to ₹352 crore from ₹274.8 crore. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) rose 41.4% to ₹143.4 crore from ₹101.4 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 40.7% from 36.9% in the corresponding quarter last year.
Profit before tax (PBT) rose to ₹64.3 crore from ₹15.7 crore a year earlier, while total income increased to ₹360.5 crore from ₹301.3 crore. Finance costs declined to ₹39.3 crore from ₹86 crore in the year-ago period, partially offset by higher depreciation and amortisation expenses of ₹32.7 crore, compared with ₹26.4 crore a year earlier.
The company's board also approved an investment of up to ₹120 crore in wholly owned subsidiary Schloss Tadoba Private Ltd. in one or more tranches. The funds will be used to finance hotel projects and meet capital expenditure requirements.
Shares of the company jumped more than 5% following the results and were trading at ₹482.45, up 3% on Friday. The stock has advanced about 11% so far in 2026 and about 17% over the last 12 months.
