What is the story about?
Winjit Technologies and HFCB Kenya, on Wednesday, launched a new Corporate Mobile and Internet Banking platform, unveiled at Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, the companies announced. Winjit describes itself as a global technology company that helps financial institutions build digital banking systems.
According to the company, the platform brings together everyday banking, payments, approvals, account visibility and user management in one system.
It added that corporate customers can manage accounts, make individual and bulk payments, transfer funds through M-Pesa, PesaLink and RTGS, pay utility bills, and get real-time transaction updates.
Robert Kibaara, Group Chief Executive Officer of HFCB Kenya, said, “Our corporate customers expect banking to work as seamlessly as their businesses do. This platform brings greater simplicity, visibility, and control to their everyday banking journeys, helping them manage their financial operations with greater confidence and convenience.”
The companies said the platform is built for different roles within a business: finance teams can handle routine operations and bulk transactions, business leaders get wider visibility over accounts and activity, and authorised users can approve payments faster, including while away from the office.
It also supports multiple users and multiple organisations, with role-based access and adjustable workflows that the companies said let businesses shape approval processes around their own structure.
HFCB Kenya said the goal is to help corporate customers spend less time on banking processes and more time running their businesses, whether making daily payments, tracking financial activity or managing several entities at once.
On security, the companies said the platform pairs authentication and approval controls with a mobile security system designed to detect and block threats linked to devices, applications and fraud. This claim reflects the companies' own description of the platform and has not been independently verified.
Winjit described the launch as an example of adapting banking technology it has used in India for other markets, calling it part of the company's broader push at GFF 2026 to expand in global banking.
Abhijit Junagade, Co-founder of Winjit Technologies, said, “With HFCB Kenya, we are focused on transforming the complete banking experience around real customer journeys, not simply digitizing existing processes. This launch is a strong example of how proven capabilities can be adapted to create meaningful impact in new markets.”
The companies said the platform is set to become available to HFCB Kenya customers in the fourth quarter of 2026.
