HARMAN completes sale of DTS business to Wipro; sharpens focus on automotive, lifestyle tech

Lifestyle Audio and Automotive technology brand HARMAN said on Tuesday it completed the sale of its Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business to Wipro Limited after securing all required regulatory approvals.

The move marks a strategic shift for the Samsung-owned company as it doubles down on its core Automotive and Lifestyle technology segments.

our disciplined approach to portfolio management and our commitment to long-term growth,” she said. “We appreciate the contributions of our DTS colleagues, and we are confident the business will continue to thrive as part of Wipro.”

With the handover now complete, the DTS unit will be housed within Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line. The acquisition broadens Wipro’s engineering and product development capabilities at a time when global demand for AI-led digital transformation, embedded software, connectivity and smart manufacturing solutions is rising.

Under the deal structure, Wipro will also enter a multi-year strategic agreement with both HARMAN and Samsung, aimed at strengthening collaboration and expanding opportunities for joint innovation.

For HARMAN, the divestment is part of an ongoing realignment as it increases investments in automotive electronics, digital cockpits, in-cabin user experiences, connected car platforms and premium audio systems. The company works with several leading global OEMs and has been accelerating development in infotainment, safety technologies and connected services.

HARMAN said the DTS workforce and existing customer engagements will fully transition to Wipro, ensuring continuity across ongoing projects.
