Surya Roshni Ltd has received an order worth ₹168.71 crore for the supply of submerged arc welded mild steel (MS) pipes, the company said on Wednesday, December 10.
In an exchange filing, the lighting and steel company said the contract was awarded by a domestic entity, whose name was not disclosed. Under the agreement, Surya Roshni will supply the pipes to meet requirements in Gujarat, with execution scheduled by June 2026.
The company continues to strengthen its order pipeline amid steady demand
from infrastructure and utility projects. In November, it had secured an order worth ₹105.18 crore from an engineering and infrastructure firm for the supply of spiral pipes with external 3LPE coating.
Surya Roshni’s financial performance has also been strong. Its net profit grew 117 percent year-on-year to ₹74.3 crore in the September quarter, up from ₹34.2 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations rose 21 percent to ₹1,845.2 crore, compared with ₹1,529 crore a year ago.
Following the announcement, shares of Surya Roshni Ltd closed 2.38 percent higher at ₹257.90 on Wednesday. The stock, however, has declined 25.18 percent over the past six months.
