Zee Media appoints Raktimanu Das as Chief Executive Officer

The board of directors of Zee Media Corporation Ltd (ZMCL), at its meeting held on November 3, Monday, announced the appointment of Raktimanu Das (popularly known as Raktim Das) as the Chief Executive

Officer and key managerial personnel of the company, effective November 4, 2025.

The appointment is subject to necessary statutory and regulatory approvals, as per the terms approved by the board, stated in the exchange filing.

Das is a seasoned media industry leader with more than two decades of experience across India’s most prominent media houses, including Associated Broadcasting Company (TV9 Network), Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Network18 Media & Investments, Direct News, India Today Group, and The Times of India.

According to the exchange filing, he has demonstrated expertise in revenue leadership, editorial management, digital transformation, and innovative monetisation models, with a track record of driving growth across broadcast, digital, and OTT platforms. Recognised as a pioneer in branded content and media IP creation, Das is known for his ability to blend creativity with business strategy.

In his previous role as Chief Growth Officer (Digital & Broadcasting) at TV9 Network, he was instrumental in leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, and steering organisational transformation.

Das holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Media Management from the Times School of Management and a Master’s degree in Operational Research, specialising in Decision Theory, Inventory Management, and Marketing Research.
