One of the girders fell onto a commercial vehicle, causing the death of the driver. The company received a show-cause notice (SCN) from NHAI on November 26, 2025, at 7.14 pm regarding the incident. Ashoka Buildcon stated that it denies the allegation that public safety was endangered.
"The company respectfully denies the allegation that public safety was endangered. The incident in question resulted from circumstances that were sudden, unforeseeable, and not attributable to any lapse in the Company’s safety practices," according to a stock exchange filing.

The company said the incident occurred due to the sudden failure of a hydraulic jack caused by internal seal damage, and the girder fell on a moving goods vehicle, which entered a prohibited construction zone.
Ashoka Buildcon confirmed that it has consistently implemented and maintained all safety precautions and protocols in line with good industrial practices, contractual requirements, and applicable codes and safety measures.
The company is in the process of ascertaining the financial impact of the incident and will notify the exchanges in due course. All other operations of the company remain unaffected.
Shares of Ashoka Buildcon Ltd ended at ₹184.10, up by ₹5.55, or 3.11%, on the BSE, today, November 27.
