Global metal forging company Bharat Forge Ltd on Thursday (January 8) said the company and Germany-based Agile Robots SE have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore a strategic collaboration in the field
of AI-driven robotics and intelligent industrial automation.
Under the proposed collaboration, the two companies will jointly explore opportunities in artificial intelligence-led robotics, combining Bharat Forge’s domain expertise with Agile Robots’ intelligent robots and automation solutions. The partnership aims to deploy advanced automation technologies across the automotive, healthcare and consumer electronics industries.
The Indo-German collaboration is focused exclusively on civilian industry and manufacturing. As part of the MoU, Bharat Forge and Agile Robots plan to co-develop solutions, build capabilities and offer bespoke applications in manufacturing, industrial CPG and the logistics space. This will include the deployment of Agile Robots’ existing solutions for the India and Southeast Asia markets.

The partnership also provides for the development and deployment of vision- and AI-based robotic solutions, with Agile Robots acting as one of the strategic partners to enable fully autonomous or ‘dark’ factory operations.

Shares of Bharat Forge Ltd ended at ₹1,452.80, down by ₹30.60, or 2.06%, on the BSE today, January 8.
