Lemon Tree Hotels signs new 85-room property in Madhya Pradesh

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited on January 21 announced the signing of a new property in Madhya Pradesh, further expanding its footprint in the state. The company has entered into a licence agreement for Lemon Tree Premier,

Omkareshwar, according to a stock exchange disclosure.

The upcoming hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. The signing strengthens the company’s presence in Madhya Pradesh while catering to both business and leisure travellers, the company said.

Lemon Tree Premier, Omkareshwar will feature 85 well-appointed rooms, along with a restaurant, a banquet hall, and a meeting room. Recreational facilities at the property will include a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and a spa.

The hotel is located in Omkareshwar, a sacred town situated on an island in the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh and home to one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The destination is known for its spiritual significance, ancient temples, and river ghats, and attracts pilgrims as well as leisure travellers seeking a serene environment.

In terms of connectivity, the property is located around 85 km from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport and approximately 81 km from Indore junction, and is accessible via both public and private transport.

Commenting on the development, Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said the signing would help extend the company’s business and leisure portfolio in Madhya Pradesh, adding that Omkareshwar is an ideal destination for pilgrims and travellers seeking spiritual reflection and a connection with India’s heritage. He also noted that the state currently has four operational and 10 upcoming Lemon Tree Hotels properties.

Shares of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited closed lower on the NSE at ₹132.50, down ₹1.77 or 1.32%, on January 21, 2026.
