What is the story about?
West Asia remains firmly in focus tonight, with US President Donald Trump striking a cautiously optimistic tone on nuclear talks with Iran, even as he warns military action remains on the table if diplomacy fails. Trump is also tying any future breakthrough to a broader regional reset through the Abraham Accords, putting Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Gulf nations back into the geopolitical spotlight.
From New Delhi, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio calls the Iran deal a “work-in-progress”, while insisting India is comfortable with Pakistan’s role in facilitating backchannel engagement.
Back home, markets are taking comfort from easing nerves. The rupee closed at a two-week high and equities extended gains for a second straight session, with banking and Reliance stocks leading the charge. But consumers continue to feel the pinch as fuel prices rise for the fourth time in eleven days.
Also on the show tonight — a sharp drop in H-1B visa approvals hitting Indian IT firms, Zepto’s fast-track IPO plans, VinFast-backed Green SM’s India entry, and Padma honours for some of the country’s most celebrated names.
