Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets passed and have entered a period of chaos, as the sell-off has intensified, after trading flat for most of the day.

The markets are under immense pressure, with the Nifty falling over 150 points, pushing the index below 24,000. The Sensex is also on a similar footing, trading below 77,100, after a 400-point fall.

The Nifty bulls were hopeful of breaking out on the higher side and moving towards the 24,500 levels. With oil prices nearly back to pre-war levels, the one major headwind that bothered Indian equities has passed, at least for now.

For the Nifty, the 24,000 level remains the key and a crucial psychological support at the 23,900 - 23,800 zone.

The Nifty Bank is also trading with caution, with a negative bias.

The Nifty Bank briefly crossed 58,000 on Monday but could not hold on, even though it remains close to those levels.
