Infrastructure company NCC Ltd. on Wednesday, December 31, announced that it has secured four new orders this month with a combined value of ₹1,237.24 crore excluding GST. Of this, the buildings segment
accounted for ₹704.67 crore of the total orders, while the transportation segment contributed ₹532.57 crore, according to the regulatory exchange filing.
The company clarified that the orders were received in the normal course of business and do not include any internal contracts.
Last month, the company secured a letter of acceptance for an order worth ₹2,062.71 crore. It was from the Public Works (Health & Education) Department, Assam, to expand and modernise Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in Guwahati.
Shares of the company ended at ₹160.38 apiece, down 3.47% on the NSE today, December 31.
The company had reported weak earnings for the second quarter ended September 30. Revenue fell 12.6% year-on-year to ₹4,543 crore, while its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined by 11.5% on a year-on-year basis to ₹394 crore.
However, the EBITDA margin expanded by 20 basis points to 8.7% from 8.5% in the year-ago quarter.
