Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) on Tuesday, December 23, announced a change in its top leadership, informing the stock exchanges that Sukhmal Chand Jain has ceased to be the company’s Chairman and Managing
Director with effect from December 23, 2025.
The company further said that Saleem Ahmad, who currently serves as Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Ltd, has taken charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of RVNL with effect from December 23, 2025.

RVNL further stated that, in compliance with SEBI Circular dated June 20, 2018, and based on confirmation received from Saleem Ahmad, he has not been debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other authority.
RVNL Q2 results
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) posted a 19.7% year-on-year drop in net profit for the September quarter, with earnings declining to ₹230.3 crore from ₹286.9 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations increased 5.5% year-on-year to ₹5,123 crore, compared with ₹4,855 crore in the year-ago quarter. However, profitability came under pressure as operating performance weakened. EBITDA declined 20.3% to ₹216.9 crore from ₹272 crore a year earlier.
As a result, the EBITDA margin narrowed to 4.2%, down from 5.6% in the corresponding quarter last year, indicating higher costs and subdued margins despite growth in revenue.
