The Indian market looks all set to close this week on a high, as indices ride with momentum. The Nifty index is now up over 100 points, jumping above the 26,250 mark, and is now just under 100 points away from the record high mark of 26,325.

The Sensex is also up, with gains of over 300 points. The 30-stock index is surging to 85,550. The period of thin trading volumes is most likely to see either its final day or end today.

The Nifty Bank index is also on the rise. The banking index is up a mammoth 300 points or about 0.50%. This key index is now above the important 60,000 mark.
