Humbler Commute Captures Attention
In a notable departure from his typical celebrity travel, actor Varun Dhawan recently chose to navigate the bustling streets of Mumbai in a traditional
auto-rickshaw. This unconventional choice was briefly documented by the actor himself, who shared a video clip of the experience on his Instagram stories. The reel was set to the peppy track "Wow" from his forthcoming film, and Dhawan humorously captioned it with "Rickshaw 🛺 ride ek dum wow." However, the candid moment was short-lived, as the actor promptly deleted the video from his social media platform, leaving many to speculate on the reasons behind its swift removal. Fortunately, fragments of the original post were preserved on other fan pages, allowing the public a glimpse into this down-to-earth escapade.
Upcoming Film's Release Dynamics
Varun Dhawan is currently immersed in promotional activities for his upcoming movie, "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," which is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026. Directed by his father, David Dhawan, the film features a prominent cast including Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. Initially, "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai" was set to enjoy a solo release following the postponement of another film, "Toxic." However, a recent announcement from the makers of the Telugu film "Peddi," starring Ram Charan, revealed their intention to launch their movie on June 4, 2026. This Telugu production will also be presented in Hindi, setting the stage for a box office confrontation between "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai" and "Peddi," as they are slated to premiere within a day of each other during the same weekend.
Navigating Release Date Challenges
The potential box office clash between "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai" and "Peddi" has been a topic of discussion. When questioned about this, Ramesh Taurani, the producer of "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," expressed a pragmatic outlook. He stated, "Ab kya kar sakte hain, kuchh nahi. Koi na koi toh aayega hi. There are 52 weeks in a year, someone will clash. It's okay." Taurani further affirmed that the film's release date would not be altered. It is worth noting the film's release date has seen some adjustments; it was initially planned for June 5. To avoid a clash with "Toxic," the release was brought forward to May 22. However, subsequent to "Toxic" being postponed, "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai" reverted to its original release date of June 5, only to now potentially face a new competitor.
