period for the newly inaugurated Ganga Expressway. This ambitious project, recognized as the state's longest expressway, is now accessible to all citizens without any financial obligation. The core intention behind this generous waiver is to allow a substantial number of people to personally experience the advanced engineering and convenience the expressway offers. An official statement highlighted this decision, emphasizing that it was made in the public interest to maximize public interaction with this modern transportation artery.
Operational Transition
Following the government's directive, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has issued explicit instructions to the concessionaires, IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd and Adani Infrastructure, to suspend all toll collection activities during this initial 15-day window. This means that every journey undertaken on the expressway during this period will be completely free of charge for all users. This development follows the crucial step of an independent engineer providing a provisional certificate, officially confirming the expressway's readiness for public use and marking its commercial operation date as per the concession agreement.

The state administration anticipates that this toll-free initiative will significantly boost public utilization of the expressway right from its inception.
