Oceanfront Film Finance has partnered with Allegro Finance to increase financing opportunities for film and television productions, launching with an initial $100 million fund for eligible projects.
Through the partnership,
Oceanfront will produce and finance productions while Allegro provides financing solutions for potential production collateral (like tax incentives, rebates and pre-sales). Financing opportunities will be determined on a project-by-project basis via Oceanfront’s proprietary due diligence platform, FailSafe Analytics.
Oceanfront will also have the option to invest in projects as they evaluate budgets and individual productions. The U.S based film and television financing platform company expects to begin deploying its equity capital later this year.
The partnership establishes Allegro as Oceanfront’s preferred senior secured production financing partner. Allegro, which is based in London, is founded by Jamie Lowe, Peter Touche and Sam Collett. The company operates as a specialist, non-bank senior lender with a team that collaborates across structured credit, investment banking and film and television finance.
Oceanfront is led by Dan Sheldon and Roger Goff, the latter of whom co-founded FailSafe Analytics alongside Randy Goff, the architect behind the FailSafe proprietary software. Sheldon is a producer and former talent agent who has helped contribute to $250 million in film financings in recent years.
The platform focuses on the development, packaging, production and financing of commercially viable entertainment content. Its proprietary due diligence and risk-assessment platform, FailSafe Analytics, evaluates film and television projects across multiple underwriting categories before being considered for financing.
