Oscar-winning French actor Marion Cotillard will preside over the competition jury at the 23rd Marrakech Film Festival in November.
Alongside her to be announced jury members, the “Inception” and “Dark Knight Rises”
star will lead the decision of which film is awarded the Étoile d’Or out of Marrakech’s international competition, which consists of first and second features.
“I have been fortunate enough to attend the Marrakech International Film Festival since its very beginnings; I’ve had wonderful experiences there and met some truly remarkable people,” Cotillard said in a statement. “Supporting filmmakers as they take their first steps is a vital part of what this festival is all about — it’s in its DNA — and it is a great joy for me to chair the jury this year.”
This year’s Marrakech Film Festival takes place from Nov. 20-28.
More to come…
