Andrew Rea, the online creator best known for producing food content on the YouTube channel Binging With Babish, is making his narrative debut with the short film “Old Soul” (working title).

Winters, “Old Soul” is a fantasy drama set on a subway in New York City. Per the official logine, it “follows a life-changing encounter between two desperate strangers” and “introduces ‘The Entity,’ an immortal, body-shifting consciousness trapped in an infinite cycle and searching for its true purpose.” Though “Old Soul” is a standalone piece, Rea intends to expand the it into a trilogy of feature-length thrillers set across the globe.
The short film recently wrapped production in New York and will soon be submitted to film festivals ahead of an eventual YouTube release.
Rea, a graduate of the Hofstra University film program, quickly gained popularity after launching his YouTube channel Binging With Babish in 2016, with the title taking inspiration from Oliver Babish, a character on “The West Wing.” Today, he has more than 10.5 million subscribers. Rea’s company, Binge Entertainment (formerly known as Babish Culinary Universe), also produces the podcast “In the Booth With Babish,” in which he interviews celebrities and culinary experts such as Alton Brown, Tony Hale, William H. Macy and Josh Scherer over a shared meal. He recently partnered with CookUnity, providing some of his recipes to the meal kit service, and opened Bed n Babish, a short-term rental compound and food-focused travel experience on the Delaware River. Rea has also released products including a cookware line and a THC-infused sugar via cannabis brand Old Pal. He is repped by WME and Luna Entertainment.
Koshy also began her career online, building a following on Vine and later YouTube before acting in film and television. Her credits include the Paramount’s “The Naked Gun” and Hulu’s “Summer of 69” in 2025. She will appear in “The Man with the Bag,” premiering via Amazon MGM in December 2, and Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s “Family Movie” in 2027. She is repped by CAA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Hanson Jacobson Teller.
Winters is best known for roles in HBO’s “Oz” and NBC’s “30 Rock,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” as well as for starring as Mayhem in several advertisements for Allstate. He is repped by Ellipsis Entertainment Group, Innovative Artists, Special Artists Agency and Kraditor & Haber.
The stunt director on “Old Soul” is Brandan Alan Smith, whose credits include “Daredevil: Born Again,” “Law & Order,” “Your Friends & Neighbors” and “CIA.” As an actor, he’s appeared in “FBI,” “General Hospital,” “Happy Gilmore 2” and more. Smith is repped by Clear Talent Group, Brady, Brannon & Rich Talent
“Old Soul” is produced by Further Adventures, a studio founded by former YouTube executive Steven Beckman and film producer Ben Stillman (“I Care a Lot,” “Somebody I Used to Know”) that focuses on independent filmmaking from digital creators.
