Jessie is best known for her role in the hit Shondaland Netflix series “Bridgerton.” Based on the Julia Quinn book series, Jessie stars in the show as Eloise Bridgerton, the fifth child in the Bridgerton family known for her rebellious streak and strong desire to break from traditional norms for women. Jessie has been with the show since its first season, with the fifth season currently in the works.
Aside from her work in “Bridgerton,” Jessie has also starred in shows like the miniseries “Vanity Fair” for ITV and Amazon Studios, which was based on the book of the same name by William Makepeace Thackeray. Other roles include the BBC Two sitcom “Defending the Guilty,” BBC’s “Line of Duty,” “Call the Midwife,” “Lovesick,” “Josh,” and “Doctor Who.”
Most recently, Jessie was seen in the Jack Thorne Netflix series “Toxic Town.” That show was based on the true story of the Corby poisonings, in which pregnant women inhaled toxic waste from a closed steel mill in England, leading to severe birth defects. Next up, Jessie will be seen in the Channel 4 drama “Up to No Good” alongside Glenn Close.
“Bridgerton” remains one of the most popular shows in Netflix history, with Seasons 1 and 3 of the show ranking as two of the most-watched seasons ever on the platform. Season 5 will center on the love story of Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza).
