EST N8 and BrandThink have launched B-EST Pictures, a joint venture for feature films and live experiences.
The venture’s first title, “Tame,” a horror-suspense feature rooted in Thai folklore, will launch international
sales at the Toronto Film Festival’s market ahead of its Thailand theatrical release on Oct. 29.
Set in a rural bullfighting village where animals are broken through fear and ritual, “Tame” follows a teenage girl trapped under her family’s control who turns an ancient spirit’s brutal methods back on the people who raised her. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Thamuya Thasananukulkij.
“Tame” is produced by Anucha Boonyawatana, whose credit “Malila: The Farewell Flower” won Busan’s Kim Jiseok Award and the Netpac Award at the Golden Horse Film Festival, alongside BrandThink founder Ekalak “Luck” Klunson, whose credits include Netflix’s “Redlife,” “Halabala” and “5th Round.” The cast is led by T-pop star Pimmada Chaisakcharoen (“Human Resource”), alongside Komchadluek Award winner Chayanit Chansangavej (“Cracked,” “Supposed”) and Jespipat Tilapornputt (“The Stain”).
B-EST Pictures pairs EST N8’s sales, financing and distribution network with BrandThink’s editorial reach into Thai subcultures and creative communities. The companies will co-develop, co-finance and co-produce films and live experiences, starting in Southeast Asia before expanding into international markets. Three additional titles under the venture will be announced in the coming months.

BrandThink was built on the idea of “Creative Change,” said Klunson, the company’s managing director and founder. “In EST N8, we’ve found partners who share our vision for elevating Asian narratives. Launching B-EST Pictures with ‘Tame’ at TIFF lets us turn our editorial instincts into globally distributable IP.”
Thai horror carries a long track record of international appeal, said Sophie Changhui-Shi, head of studios at EST N8. “‘Tame’ furthers the genre by pairing visceral suspense with deep emotional and cultural resonance. Thamuya’s debut is haunting, provocative and uncompromising.”
EST N8 operates across film financing, sales and distribution, bringing premium Asian cinema to the global marketplace while also distributing Hollywood and European titles across Asia.
