Disney fans are in for a treat this Sunday as the Mouse House unites ten of its
most memorable characters and voices for “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration.”
The Wonderful World of Disney special airs Sunday, Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. on ABC and features highlights from the D23 Expo taking place this weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center next to Disneyland.
Night one of D23 2026 kicked off with a special concert that brought together the largest gathering of Disney princess talent ever assembled. Performers included Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Little Mermaid;” Paige O’Hara, the original voice of Belle in “Beauty and the Beast;” Auli’i Cravalho, the original voice of the titular character in “Moana” and “Moana 2;” and Brandy, who played Cinderella in the 1997 Disney made-for-TV special, “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”
The performers all performed their signature songs from their respective movies, with some being joined by special guests. Benson, for example, was joined by Halle Bailey, who played Ariel in the live-action “Little Mermaid” film. Brandy, meantime, joined Lea Salonga (the original singing voice of Jasmine in “Aladdin”) for the film’s popular duet, “A Whole New World.”
Footage from the concert will air this Sunday on “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration.” Viewers can tune in to the special on TV through their local ABC affiliate.
You can also livestream the concert using a live TV streaming service like DirecTV, which carries an ABC feed in all of its packages. Get a free trial to DirecTV here and use it to watch the Disney princess concert online for free.
Another streaming option for the D23 Disney princess special is Fubo, which also carries a live ABC feed that you can stream online without cable. Fubo also has a free trial that you can use to watch the Disney princess “Ultimate Concert Celebration” online free.
“Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” will also stream free for Disney+ subscribers. A subscription to Disney+ starts at $11.99/month but you can bundle it with Hulu for just $1 more, saving you 46% versus paying for both streamers separately.
In addition to the musical performances, the one-night-only concert is expected to showcase fireworks and light displays from Disneyland and re-visit memorable scenes from Disney princess movies through the years, beginning with 1937’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” to 2024’s “Moana 2.“
