Olivia Colman has joined the London-set sixth season of “Only Murders in the Building.”
The Oscar winner was revealed as the show’s latest guest star in a video posted on its Instagram account on Tuesday featuring cast
members Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep and Martin Short. “We have had so many amazing guest stars for ‘Only Murders’ in London,” Gomez says. “Yeah, but we’re just missing one!” Streep adds before Colman appears in the frame.
Indeed, Season 6 of “Only Murders in the Building” is stacked with Britain’s best and brightest. Beyond Colman, those joining the cast include David Tennant, Sharon Horgan, Martin Freeman, Jim Broadbent, Jennifer Saunders, Geri Halliwell, Nicola Coughlan, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Jodie Whittaker, Rhea Norwood, Richard Ayoade, Amar Chadha-Patel, Matthew Beard, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi, Adrian Lukis, Kathryn Hunter, Lesley Nicol and Peter Capaldi.
Alongside Gomez, Short and Streep, Steve Martin is also returning. Season 6 is currently in production in the U.K. and will see its crew venture across the pond to continue their investigation into the death of Cinda Canning, as seen in the Season 5 finale.
