The CW is renewing three of its unscripted series The one-hour gamers “Scrabble” and “Trivial Pursuit” have been given a Season 3 in advance of this fall’s Season 2 premieres, while the netlet has also greenlighted
a Season 4 of its law enforcement follow-along show “Police 24/7.”
“Scrabble” and “Trivial Pursuit” return to The CW on Thursday, Oct. 1 with their Season 2 premieres; the shows’ Season 3 episodes will come at a later date.
Seperately, “Scrabble,” “Trivial Pursuit” and “Police 24/7” have also been sold into daytime syndication; according to The CW, the shows’ syndie runs have now been cleared in more than 85% of U.S. TV markets. Wallach Media Ventures is distributing.
According to The CW, the three shows were among the network’s top five most-watched entertainment programs during the 2025-2026 season. Per The CW, the three shows “have collectively reached more than 31.4 million viewers on The CW since debuting and generated more than 1.2 million viewing hours across The CW’s digital platforms.”
Craig Ferguson hosts “Scrabble,” which “brings the iconic Hasbro word game to life as contestants put their vocabulary, strategy and quick thinking to the test for the chance to win life-changing cash prizes” Hasbro Entertainment, The CW, Mattel Television Studios and Lionsgate Alternative Television are the producers.
LeVar Burton hosts “Trivial Pursuit,” which “transforms one of the world’s most recognizable trivia brands into a fast-paced competition where contestants put their knowledge to the test across a wide range of categories.” Hasbro Entertainment, The CW, Lionsgate Alternative Television and Talpa Studios are the producers.
SallyAnn Salsano and her Mulholland Media are behind “Police 24/7,” which “provides unprecedented access to law enforcement agencies across the country, following officers on patrol as they respond to emergencies, investigate crimes and serve their communities.”
