Roblox revealed new innovations and updates at its 12th annual Roblox Developers Conference, which includes opportunities for players to join from any location or device, stay connected between sessions and explore
new gameplay styles.
Roblox Everywhere gives creators the option to make their games available as standalone apps across mobile, PC and consoles, increasing opportunities to play and connect.
Also announced were an offline option that combines online and offline models; a new Friends chat tab that follows players across games and a new voice-to-text feature; the option to play in-browser directly on Chrome; updates to the 2D games, such as new UI features including blur, text and shadows; and a new notification system.
Roblox is also currently building an AI creation layer, which will include the Scene Generator. When players insert a prompt and reference image, the Scene Generator produces a functional layout creators can later refine.
The Build tab is also expanding to public alpha in Serbia and Singapore, with Roblox adding new tools such as a new asset library and desktop access to expand creators control.
As Roblox creators continue to grow in popularity, Roblox also announced the Roblox Wallet, where players earn direct currency, receive automatic payments each business day and transfer funds to other accounts. The Roblox Card allows creators to spend their balance and will roll out next year.
Additional announcements include the Moments tab becoming fully available in the U.S., which will later include videos from the Experience Details Page, where players can tap any avatar to buy the items shown.
