“Murderbot” has added a murderer’s row of talent for its upcoming second season.
The Apple TV sci-fi series, which stars Alexander Skarsgård as the titular Murderbot, has added the following cast members for Season 2:

All of the aforementioned actors will appear in either recurring or guest roles. Several of those names — including Brendan Hunt, Tramell Tillman, Topher Grace, and others — should be familiar to Apple audiences, as they have appeared in Apple TV shows already. Hunt, for example, plays Coach Beard in the hit comedy “Ted Lasso,” while Tillman plays Mr. Milchick in the critically-acclaimed series “Severance.”
Along with Skarsgård, returning stars for “Murderbot” Season 2 include Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski, as well as recurring guest stars Clark Gregg, John Cho, DeWanda Wise and Jack McBrayer.
The logline for the series states that it is about “a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Murderbot (Skarsgård) must hide its free will and find its way in a hostile universe when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.”
“Murderbot” is based on the book series of the same name written by Martha Wells. The series was created by Chris and Paul Weitz, who also direct and executive produce via their Depth of Field production company. Andrew Miano, Dan Balgoyen and Britta Rowings also executive produce for Depth of Field. David S. Goyer executive produces alongside Keith Levine for Phantom Four. Wells serves as consulting producer. CBS Studios produces.
