Yehuda Levi (“A Body that Works”) stars in a new international action-thriller “The Escape” for Keshet International.
Set deep in the Colombian jungle, the eight-episode series, titled “Ha’Bricha” in Hebrew, centers
around the scion of a religious cult leader who manages to flee but is forced to leave behind his wife and child.
Once on the outside, he teams up with ex-Mossad operative Carmeli (Levi) to bring them to safety. But it soon turns out the cult has an unholy alliance with a drug cartel and any rescue attempt will start a war.
Ido Tako (“The Vanishing Soldier”) co-stars as cult escapee Yoel, Naya Bienstock as his wife Feigy, newcomer Roy Shachar Kremerman as his young son Nachman and Mark Ivanir (“Homeland”) as the charismatic cult leader.
Filmed on location in Colombia, Georgia, and Israel, “The Escape” was created and written by Ariel Cohen (“The Golem”) for Keshet 12 alongside Yoav and Doron Paz (“The Golem,” “Plan A”), who also direct.
“The Escape” will premiere in Israel on Keshet 12 later this year. Keshet International is globally distributing the tape and format.

“The Escape” is a Keshet Media Group production in association with Reisdor Productions for Keshet 12, produced by SE Films and Reisdor.
Yaki Reisner and Shalom Eisenbach exec produce alongside Keshet Media Group’s Avi Nir, Keshet International’s Keren Shahar, and Keshet 12’s Karni Ziv, Yuval Horowitz and Eze Sakson.
“The Escape” is the latest in an ambitious international slate for Keshet International, which is part of Keshet Media Group, including Claire Danes starrer “Lovesick” for Netflix, recently-released international thriller “Unconditional” for Apple TV and “Save the Date,” from showrunner Dana Fox, which has come out of the company’s -look scripted deal with Sony Pictures Television.
