Governor Hochul has announced the grand opening of a new learn-to-swim pool and sprayground at the historic East Bathhouse in Jones Beach State Park. This project is part of New York State's efforts to advance climate goals and enhance public recreational
facilities. The facility has transitioned to all-electric power sources, incorporating geothermal wells and solar photovoltaics to reduce its carbon footprint. The renovation includes floodproofing measures to protect against extreme weather, ensuring the longevity of this community asset. The project was managed by the Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation in partnership with the Office of General Services.
