The Altadena Rotary Club, a service organization founded in 1949, has been actively involved in community rebuilding efforts following the devastating Eaton fire. The club recently hosted a pancake breakfast
event at Grocery Outlet on Lake Avenue, which served as a community gathering point. The event was attended by local leaders, including Supervisor Kathryn Barger and club president Brad Roeber, and celebrated Mark Mariscal, a past president of the club, who received the Service Above Self Award from Rotary International. The club has been instrumental in distributing over $1 million in donations to support the community, including $550,000 by December 2025. They have also organized events to distribute donated items worth over $600,000. Despite the challenges posed by the fire, the club continues to support local initiatives, including the annual Summer Concert Series and various community grants.
