What's Happening?
The African Development Bank (AfDB) and Japanese engineering company JGC Corporation have signed a letter of intent to develop sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other green aviation solutions across Africa. The AfDB will coordinate with public-sector aviation stakeholders, identify project pipelines, and explore financing options. JGC Corporation will conduct demand studies for SAF and facilitate the transfer of Japanese clean-energy technology.
