Sampson Community College (SCC) has announced the launch of two new Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree programs in Agriculture Education and Health Sciences, set to begin in Fall 2026. These programs are designed to address the growing demand for
qualified professionals in agriculture and healthcare sectors. The Agriculture Education program aims to prepare students for careers in agricultural teaching and related fields, offering a curriculum that combines agricultural science with educational theory. Graduates will have opportunities to work as extension agents, farm management specialists, and more, or transfer to a four-year institution for further education. The Health Sciences program provides a foundational education in healthcare, preparing students for various entry-level roles or further specialization. Both programs offer transfer agreements with universities, facilitating a smooth transition for students pursuing bachelor's degrees.
