Deloitte has been awarded a £14.85 million contract by the UK's Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide digital support for the department's new working age services unit. This contract, which began last week, aims to enhance the delivery of
benefit and employment services by supplying additional expert staff. The initiative is part of the DWP's efforts to modernize its services following the closure of the 'Move to Universal Credit' program. The new unit will oversee the administration of Universal Credit and manage the network of 646 Jobcentres. Additionally, Deloitte was previously awarded a £170,000 contract to develop a prototype for a Jobs and Careers service, which includes creating a mobile-friendly web application.
