The digital self-enumeration process for Census 2027 has commenced in Delhi, with Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu urging residents to participate. This initiative allows citizens to submit household details digitally, ensuring accurate population data.
The process is available across all Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) wards and includes multilingual support. Residents can log onto the Census portal to complete the process, which requires providing geo-coordinates of their residence. An 11-digit self-enumeration ID is generated upon submission, which will be used during door-to-door visits by census enumerators.
