Erwin C. 'Fritz' Krumwiede, a respected educator and community leader, passed away at the age of 88 on July 2nd at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, after a prolonged illness. Born on December 23, 1937, in Delrey, Illinois, Krumwiede was a distinguished
graduate of Illinois State University and the University of Illinois, where he earned degrees in education. His career spanned several schools, including Tri-Valley and Beardstown, where he served as an educator and counselor. Krumwiede was actively involved in various professional and community organizations, holding leadership roles in the Illinois Guidance and Personnel Association and the Beardstown Education Association. He was also a member of the Lions Club, Elks Club, and the United Methodist Church, among others. Krumwiede is survived by his wife, Shirley, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His funeral services are scheduled for July 8th at the First United Methodist Church of Beardstown.
