What's Happening?
Argenta Silver, a Canadian silver exploration company, has announced significant high-grade silver intercepts from its step-out drilling at the El Quevar Project in Argentina. The drilling at the Yaxtché Deposit returned notable results, including 446
grams per tonne of silver over 28 meters, with a 'bonanza-grade' interval of 4,870 grams per tonne over 1 meter. These findings suggest a potential structural connection between the silver-dominant Yaxtché deposit and the gold-copper Carmen system. Since May 2025, Argenta has completed over 22,000 meters of drilling across 68 holes and plans to expand the program to 45,000 meters in 2026.
Why It's Important?
The discovery of high-grade silver at the El Quevar Project underscores the potential for significant mineral resources in Argentina's Salta province. For Argenta Silver, these results enhance the project's value and attractiveness to investors, potentially leading to increased funding and development opportunities. The findings also contribute to Argentina's reputation as a mining-friendly region, which could attract further exploration and investment from international mining companies. The potential connection between the Yaxtché and Carmen systems may lead to the discovery of additional mineral resources, further boosting the project's prospects.
What's Next?
Argenta Silver plans to continue its expanded drilling program, with two rigs remaining active on site. The company aims to further explore the structural connection between the Yaxtché and Carmen systems, which could reveal additional high-grade mineralization. As the project progresses, Argenta may seek partnerships or joint ventures to accelerate development and capitalize on the district-scale potential of the El Quevar asset. The mining industry and investors will likely watch for updates on drilling results and resource estimates, which could influence market perceptions and investment decisions.
