Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County, in collaboration with St. John’s United Church of Christ, is organizing its largest used book sale to date. The event, scheduled from October 24 to 26, will take
place at St. John’s UCC in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This year’s sale features over 55,000 donated items, including books, puzzles, games, and movies. The initiative aims to raise funds for Habitat’s local homebuilding projects. Mark Story, the director of advancement for Habitat, highlighted the community’s involvement, noting that over 150 volunteers have contributed approximately 2,000 hours to ensure the event's success. The sale is supported by local businesses, with BCM Payroll Services sponsoring the event and The Butcher Shoppe donating bags.
